Help & Support
How can we help?
Start an order, find the right product guide, check an existing order, or contact Actually Useful Prints directly.
How ordering works
Start with the kind of sign you need.
Choose the product type that fits your needs: a Standard Sign, a customizable template, or something unique.
Looking for a common sign?
Select a Standard Sign, then choose its supported size, material, colors, and mounting preparation on the product page.
Want to work from a template?
Choose a prepared Custom Sign Template, add your own text, and review the exact design in the guided designer before checkout.
Need a unique sign design?
Share your project needs for an initial quote and turnaround estimate. If the project is a good fit and you choose to move forward, we’ll develop a digital proof for your approval before production.

Common questions
Quick answers and the next useful step.
How large can my sign be?
Launch production is limited to compact, single-piece signs. The current printable envelope supports rectangular signs up to 10 × 9 inches or 9 × 10 inches, and square signs up to 9.5 × 9.5 inches. Each product may have a smaller supported range; wall-scale, oversized, and multi-panel signs are not currently offered. The exact product page or guided designer shows the supported sizes for that sign.
Which material should I choose?
Start with the sign's intended location: climate-controlled indoor, indoor with added heat or direct sunlight, or outdoor. The exact product then shows the compatible finishes and colors. Compare materials and colors.
What does mounting preparation include?
Mounting preparation changes the sign itself. Depending on the product, the available choice may be a flat back with no included hardware, magnetic backing, or one of the supported hole patterns. Screws, anchors, construction adhesive, tape, standoffs, and installation services are not included or sold. Review mounting preparation options.
What is the difference between a product photo, live preview, and approved proof?
A product photo shows a physical sign that has already been printed. A live preview visualizes the size, colors, wording, or layout currently selected on the website. An approved proof is the reviewed design reference used for custom production; a live preview is not an approved proof.
How long will an order take?
Production time and carrier transit time are separate. The applicable order path and quantity determine the production estimate, and a custom review may pause while a question or approval is outstanding. Review timing and shipping.
What happens after I submit a Custom Template design or Specialty & Bulk inquiry?
A Custom Template design moves into the normal cart and checkout path with the reviewed configuration attached to the item. A Specialty & Bulk inquiry starts a conversation, not an order: we review the concept, respond with any questions and an initial quote and turnaround estimate, then develop a digital proof if the project moves forward. Production begins only after the required order and proof approvals. Review the Specialty & Bulk inquiry process.
